I wanted to expand my glass craft skills and discovered this creative foiling tutorial. Attending on my own felt a little nerve-racking, but as soon as I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by Emma, the course host, and instantly felt at ease.
During my first session, I completed a delightful foiled glass succulent. Then the obsession kicked in. With Emma’s expert guidance, I became hooked and have since attended several more sessions, each featuring a different creation.
If you enjoy working with glass, you will love these guided sessions and be amazed by what you can produce. I didn’t just like the sessions—I loved them—and I’m already looking forward to making Christmas decorations.

Hi Emma,
I wanted to express my thanks for such a wonderful workshop.
From the moment I walked into the studio you made me feel welcome and at ease. You explained all processes from the copper foiling to the soldering so well. Even though I had never done this before you made it so easy to follow your guidance. I made a beach hut and am so proud of my achievement. It is on display in my bathroom; I have even put a tealight behind for a different effect in the evening.
Thank you again for all your help, the laughter and happy chatter. I will certainly be attending another workshop as soon as I can. I would thoroughly recommend anyone to give it a go.

I signed up after having seen consistent marketing in the local area and seeing a variety of designs, there was a promotional offer on so i just thought had better get stuck in! :)
The venue was accessible and fun, with well thought out stations for working and lots of space.
The workshop itself was informative not only around the task itself but included some fun tidbits on the history of the craft, and anecdotes from Emma's own experience learning the art.
Emma was happy to answer questions and was welcoming, friendly, approachable, encouraging, enthusiastic, and lots of fun.
As a teacher she was very professional and has obviously thought out each aspect of the workshops to make them as enjoyable and inclusive as possible and communicates well throughout the process from booking!
The ability to choose colourways at both booking and then additionally (shades) in person means each piece feels so unique and personal and is a lovely touch.
Absolutely thrilled with the finished product and really enjoyed the process, it's very satisfying and mindful with a beautiful creation to keep or gift.

The stained glass workshop was a lot of fun, I really enjoyed learning a new technique and getting to do a bit of soldering! Emma was incredibly helpful during the entire process, not only at the workshop, but she also answered every question we had before booking and attending. The environment also felt really relaxed, welcoming and inclusive. I liked that the session was limited to 6 people so we all had the chance to ask questions or get help when needed. I would definitely recommend Sea Through Glass to everyone interested in arts and crafts as the workshops make for a lovely afternoon/evening spent in good company.

I thoroughly enjoyed attending one of Emma’s workshops to make a stained glass beach hut. Emma is amazing, giving clear and easy-to-follow instructions in a fun and friendly manner. No prior experience was needed, so anyone can enjoy creating something truly beautiful. The event was really well organised, with all equipment provided (including a hot drink!) and the atmosphere was really relaxed. I will definitely do another workshop with Emma again in the future!
